Federal policy

This is a U. S. General Services Administration Federal Government computer system that is
"FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY."
This system is subject to monitoring. Individuals found performing unauthorized activities are subject to disciplinary action including criminal prosecution.

Brian Gilligan, Sustainability Program Manager with GSA's Office of Federal High Performance Green Buildings, will discuss the Facility Management Institute (FMI).  FMI is designed to act as a virtual forum for experts and practitioners from government, the private sector and Academia to interact, share best practices and find the latest thinking on subjects relevant to the operations and maintenance of buildings.  Located at www.fmi.gov, FMI is front and center in GSA's contribution to the President's Open Government initiative.  The site has already been used extensively for implementation of the Federal Buildings Personnel Training Act. Starting in August it will also begin hosting a Facility Management Community of Practice promoting guest speakers from GSA, FEMP, DOE National Laboratories and several professional associations, and, valuable topical information from GSA's Research into Practice program.  Please join us to discuss your ideas for how we can best use this great new resource.
